Heres some images finishing off my last project. I experimented a bit with balloons but decided to make large scale work with foam, concentrating on primary colour and shapes that stood out from thr woodland environment. However, I really liked the finish on the spray painted balloons and want to keep the material in mind for future projects and ideas.

I have also played this song over and over. I am not bored and i intend to carry on.

I need to keep telling myself to work on a larger scale. I hoping this will come in time. Next year i want to be thinking of working on things bigger than my height! Which wont be too hard!

I bought a sketch book on holiday and did some drawings, there not much more to say about umbrellas really. One thing i did realize its really fun to draw bodys in a really ugly way, i find then more interesting, more lines and details making a body unique like a finger print! Anway i will stop trying to be Gok Wan now.

Simon & Garfunkel, its in its own genre to me, Dad music. My dad has such good taste in music.
Also i had no idea this song was about assassination of John F. Kennedy.

I honestly really dont have much to say, i feel like a should but i dont. Well at least i think a really really crummy year is behind me now, i am back to feeling like my own self again and feeling alot better about manchester. I actually want to go back. I would like to take all the guapas from Bucks too but i think they might fail their degrees if i do so i am trying not to be selfish.
I went to the Saatchi last friday and finally got to see Eugeine Scrace's "impaled tree trunk artwork" I would just call it a log on a fence really but whatever. I wish i could have a house just like that gallery its so open but weirdly relaxing. With really random furniture maybe the ceilings a little lower and the size a little smaller!

I just seem to doodle all day at the moment, i have so much work to put up as well, but in summer even scanning seems like a lot of effort.

My friend Sophie told me i needed to watch Kids, a Larry Clark film in like the 90s, about aids and this boy who is basically mclovin having sex with all this really hot really young girls. It reminded me a bit of The Wackness, which now looks a bit shit. The main guy made me feel actually ill he is so gross, you have to see him having sexy time in the film, safe to say its giving me nightmares even now. THE ENDING IS SICK but amazing! ANYWHOOO to my point about the great Slyvester who died of Aids, who i love not just because of his music but how he brought the american gay culture out to main stream culture. He was basically mostly in drag and was one of the main musicians whose death highlighted the epidemic.

P.s I am buying more black to feel mature and i am getting my hair cut off soon i promise.

I love this song, i started singing it walking home today in my stained dressed smelly vans and Phil Mitchell Jacket, i so nearly got happy slapped by some Great Marlow Youths! I think that were just jealous of my mad style tho. Seriously now, i have new motos this week of Ridin' solo and not caring about things that have happened or you cant control!

Gloria Gayners songs are so sexy, i really like the way that shes not! Well i dont find her sexy anyway. I really want to have a disco party soon! if i wasnt having a fake hen do for my birthday i would so have a disco fest with cocktails.

I have also decided i may want to start learning how to drive just so i can have driving music and smoke in a car! I want to light a ciggy at the traffic lights and then zoooooom off. Watching the hills in bed last night i got distracted from Kristin being a little bitch i want throw mayo at and started looking at my really bad ass pjs. They are so gangsta i thought i should share them with all my friends who couldnt be in my bed eating falafel with me. Also i really want to make my own falafels and they go really well with ceaser salad and beetroot salad mmmmmm.

I am so glad that i am leaving smeelllly wimslow park and moving into a house with a Alan my landlord who thinks i am the most charming student he has ever met!

This is a creepy little doodle of me in the bath. I think its because i really really miss, bath,wine and movie times.

I am also entertaining myself recently by making books of stupid collages, I keep finding it really funny to put men in dresses or make them look really camp. Vice is the best for finding weird pictures, in an old issue, i found loads chunky mexican kids. It really made me think about my sense of humour because i found it ridiculously funny, much like the cats standing up on youtube.

In summer i am going to have lots of drunk camp fires.While i pull this beautiful face all the way through.

Last week me and my friend Zoe were discussing how you always feel better when the person your eating with has more than you, so the other night Zoe let me completely demolish alorrraa chicken, so in payment, when she made me lunch, this was my portion and i was really really full...NOT!

I have also been thinking about how weird normal things i do are, like my one of my favourite times of the year has been going to Sushi around 6, then getting a doughnut and watching the big screen in town with a cuppa tea. But after this, i love walking through Manchester around 8, getting on the bus (has to be top deck, front, window seat left) and looking at all the people heading home. All my friends think this is weird but i just dont think about it. I think thats what causes half my problems at the moment not thinking about things.

Also i really do not understand why my Muma has reservations about me and the cat alone together, he clearly adores me....in a love/hate way. I just want to play.

Its my mums birthday coming up, so from one of my "end of uni resolutions" i have decided to make her card and start my journal today. I used a picture of my Nana on the seaside with some random raggamuffin. I collaged and doodled over it and wrote on the bottom, from one daughter to another, which is super super lame but my mum loves that kinda shizzle.
Cards are so easy to make, i know this ones kinda shite, but if you put time and thought you could make a killing. Considering this weeks theme is me being stressed about money for summer, making the sweet moula is on my mind daaawwwgg... anyway i am selling loads of my old clothes to vintage shops, well planning to. I have loadsa stuff and going to the big places in northern quarter, or ringing them because i am a lazy tike. Hopefully will hold some promise.

I Love Fiona Apple, i cant stop listening to powerful female singers at the moment. Particularly old bluesy jazzy women. I think this is why i like Fiona's cover of After You've Gone. I found out a bit about her the other day, like she was raped by a stranger on her way home from school..thats why she was so skinny so that men will find her unattractive. She also joked to a friend that she was going to kill herself and her sister so her parents put her in therapy. It makes my life look like byker grove.

Marlow River is one of my favourite places, its so calming, theres certain areas in marlow that are some of the most beautiful places in the whole world.

Also i have just watched a bit of bananas in pyjamas on you tube. I forgot how much that rat use to pee me off, he so obviously wanted to break B1 & B2's back doors in. It makes me sick...and when was it Australian...explains aloooooot.

I have only gone and found a Jesus bag, its so cool, its going to be my weekend bag. My usual bag of the nickname "louis" can sometimes just be too big, this one i think will go along with hand baggage rules too. Which is great because 2 of my good friends are leaving back to Belfast next year..waaaaaaaaaah! I really want to design things like this, the best pieces of art, clothes and food are always the most simple. I want to stop being so fussy in my own work and start thinking laterally.

These little snippets are just some old ideas from some sketchbooks, they were to big for my pussyhole A3 scanner.
Also i have decided i love knotting and stretching really fragile material almost creating a bundled edge. I really want to think about knit and if its possible to mix the 2 ideas together, i don't know, initial idea, always a bit of non sense babble.
Looking at my portfolio late last night i have also decided this summer i am going to give it a complete overhaul, updating and always having it with me because i think Laura needs to get on the ball and actually get some mo fooing work experience. Its so stupid, i have had so many chances and been a lazy stupid 19 year old and not followed them up. arrgghhh. All thats going to change, i have a new life end of uni resolutions
No 1- If people annoy me just ignore them, only a really small amount do, but if you ignore them they will go away(or maybe just be really really nice to them and creep them out)
No 2- Don't stick your head in the sand, if i have a problem solve it, if i get work to do do it.
No 3- Money really really does not grow on trees, so stop picking at it.
No 4-Be happy with myself and stop being a sensitive examine everything everyone's saying losssseerrr.
No 5- Shower more and never ever sleep in till 4, unless a duvet day with other people.

This is a light box, i drew some flowers on with different coloured sharpies. Its really cool because when the box changes colour so do the flowers.Recently i cant wait till i am just a little bit older, where i will have someone fun, have a fun house and do fun things. I am very determined that it will work out this way.

This was my face last night at 4.30. Over 3000 words, 6 illustrations and 2 hours trying to solve a broken printer later. IT WASNT EVEN AN ESSAY...i love it when art students have essays to do, once every 3 months my facebook home page turns into a panic of countdown. Its amazing, in my uni you have classes on how to cope and people you can visit. Gaadd its only 2 a year!
I think i have finished my last supporting study.
Also big shout out to Dan Barrett who for the 2 hours, on the phone kept telling me to put beer in the ink cartridge or a bit of brown bread, he said he wasnt drunk..god knows!

Above are some floral gimp masks i made ages ago! i really want to make more masks or mouldings and more bleach in my work! i use to swear by it. I also want to get back into flowers, i know its girly and predictable but i like really ugly flowers or dead flowers, i have vases with tulips and daffodils round my room. I like how fragile they are and how much detail develops, loads of things get better with age. Except from boys, the older they get prruugghhhhhhh the more annoying they are.

Also i am trying to be more savvy with how many clothes i buy, i keep on having really big clearouts and inventing new ways to wear clothes i am bored of! Like i just changed how i wear the straps on this dress and know its like a maxi silky dress! I do have a shopping list tho and when i get my card sent to me (after i lost it again) i am going to get some new shizzle! Not from Topshop i have decided i hate topshop, but henny's has up'd its game on the tshirts stakes i keep on buying so many striped tshirts! trying to be like coco, will neer happen!

Also i really want to be surrounded by colour again, unless its beaming, Manchester is so greyyy! But the architecture is pretty sweet and i guess in the night time living on the curry mile where every colour lightbulb is pushed in your face....i think i am just being negative! Makes such a change.

To be honest tho! the past 2 days, i really have just wanted to be in my marlow bed! ALOT ALOT ALOT!

Recently i love drwing on masking tape with sharpie's! it makes me feel like a rebel, drawing on my desk but i can just take it off and stick it somewhere else! Also i am not in love with Geraldine Doherty she did the one on the far right! Have to give her creative credit!

Recently i just keep drawing in my room really silly stuff, my desk is now covered in ink, just like my laptop! I am really not going to get my deposit back! I really wish i had bought my sewing machine up when i first moved into my halls, i cant be bothered to bring it up on the train and i dont think i will ever be driven to uni unless i drop out and get taken home with all my shit!

Also my bloody phones a complete nightmare, i cant get in contact ewith anyone. It doesnt help that my skype and facebook are being a complete pile of shit aswell! After all the hassle of 02 sending me faulty simcards! I thought i had sorted it on friday! Now its a monday and my phone is still F-innnggg blocked! I am going to go into town now and go bonkers at the least scariest looking person in 02.

My Nana Margaret turns 90 a week today! Shes the most amazing women, so funny and weird! She reads the dictionary like a novel. I have made her promise to give me her card from the queen when she turns 100! She better anyway.
Me & my muma where out having dinner the other week, after lots of wine she began to tell me all this stuff about her and grandad! APPARENTLY GRANDAD NEVER MARRIED NANA! MY MUMS A BASTARD! He met nana when he was married and left his wife, my mum has a half sister shes never met! Love is such a vile thing, it always ends up with someone getting hurt!

Anyway my nana always mentions things she regrets about her life, things she wished had happens. Which is not very healthy but i do it already! Shes me but 89 basically! For one of my alevel pieces i made a film about her asking her about her life, it made me realize how tough shes had it! My grandad was a mahusive gambler!
One of my earliest memories is sitting on the top of a slot machine in a pub watching my grandad put coin after coin in a machine. Me with an orange squash and him with a pint of bloody coke! So many things in nanas life has been affected by his habit!
I never ever want to have to be affected like that by another person! In the film(which made me cry, such an expert filmamakerperson i am) i made her play with cards, shuffling them and playing the game we play called beat your neighbor. You know to release all gambling connotations!

The Project i am doing at the moment is a complete new thing for me. Assisting a final year student with their graduate collection. Making a sports bag, leggings, t shirt and a skull cap! His collections based on inuit dress and architecture, hes made a foldable skirt, looks like a honey comb. So i have been looking at accessories, so many are just vulgar, using a designer or name to make a kind of brand!

I dont understand people who buy things to make almost symbols that they can afford something. Also most of them are foul and over priced. I use to do it alot when i was younger, i bought a tiny prada roll bag just because of the red tag! But i guess those kind of thing make the most money.
Its the same with IT bags, my friend said a stupid word the other day, i asked her what it meant. She said it was the name of some bag and couldnt believe i studied fashion and had no idea what she was on about. I really dont think i am into that side of fashion, it ruins the whole allure of the industry for me.

Its raining so hard! Its sounds like stones on tin. I can hear it from the glass bit in the roof of the bathroom! I keep thinking its a burglar! It doesn't help that i have just watched Ashes to Ashes which always put me on edge! The same way watching crime watch does. (Not the naughty version)
Yeah and this is a hat thing i made with my very very nice friend Blanche wearing it!
Also i am getting worried i fancy to many people, well not people, but people i dont know and most likely will never meet! Kinda famous people! GEORGE CRAIG! OAAHHHHUUUUMMMMMM! Plus i cant wait to see Ed Mcfarlane again in summer! His dancing will keep me happy for a couple of months! My favourite song he swings around tah is Lovesick! He shimmys, which in theory is vile! I think if i came into some money, i would pay him to dance with me to Sean Paul!
On the left is my blue eyed friend Tom, he is going to make me this dress! I am really excited! I think i am going to buy alot more fun dresses! It puts me in a happy mood!

Blue and red make purple. I decided to come up with different shades of purple whilst using shapes from the union jack to make imagery and things.

I only had to make blanks, so i decided to blockprint and stencil my ideas onto calico. My favourite prints are the most distressed because of the way paint has transfered onto the material, but i also like the patterns i made with the stencils! I need to finish this off so blah blah, i want to start looking at more interesting material and efficient methods of printing.

ALSO i think everyone should start watching old disney films on the internet, its the only thing making me smile at the moment! Jungle Book is just toooo good!

Pick an object that describes you! I dont know how many times i have had to do a stupid project like this! But at the mo this is whats taking up my time! I decided to choose embroidery on the back of one of my favourite dress.

Not because it got some weird heart felt meaning, just because i love looking and touching it! Its one of my favourite things to wear! I sometimes put it on in the middle of the day and drink tea in my scabby halls living room wearing this shinny silveeryyy dress! Any way i am basically just doing little doodles and ideas to make pretty images, its a nice break!

I think i am going to make more patterns and imagery with the drawings. Also try and put some colour into it by going to the print rooms! OOOOHH plus some illustrations of ways to put the imagery round the body, and materials and embroidery and all that jazzzzshizzlle!

My Bodyclock is literally fucked, i know everyone says they never sleep at uni blahg bluf burrhhh! But i sleep, i sleeeeeeepp, i go to bed at 6 and wake up at 2. One week in winter i missed sunlight. I am getting better but i stayed up til 5 43 last night comparing Jude Laws Alfie to Micheal Caine's. Pretty much Jude Law is a mega piece of blue eyed ass but i find him as an actor irritating. Like Hugh Grant with not so much of a slalpable face.

I also spent it scanning, with my fancy pant new scanner which i am very excited about. Its like a toy and it only cost me slightly more than some boots i have just bought. Buts its giving me more entertainment. I think i am going to start buying lots of new mature toys, like a lady james bond with stuff you can buy from John Lewis.

I really miss having somewhere to put all my work! Having all my work in my room all the time stresses me out. I will come out the shower, look at something i've done that i really loved and hate it, rip it up & critique untill it becomes worthless. I wish that i had somewhere to go but my work is a metre away from my bed, which makes me really lazy!

I wish i could go back to having tea in beats, being around people like i met on foundation. I think i need to stop feeling sorry for myself and put more into my course. I am going to make more effort with people from my university and try to use alot more of the workshops!

I cant wait to go home. See people i miss everyday, try on a wicked dress my friend Tom made, get drunk at talitha's, sleep on a bed that doesn't have a multifunction, steal loads of my dads cd's and find my camera lead so i can sell all my clothes in Ebay!

This morning i said to someone i hated pink! Then i started thinking of bedrooms i have decorated and they've always been PINK! Like pink floral fairy lit girly boxes! Most of this can be encouraged by that smug women Cath Kidston!

I loved this belt! But it was only good for dressing up as a half hearted dead Motley Crew groupie, so i ripped off some of the letters to make myself a fancy little necklace as i lost my Vivienne Westwood one getting excited in disney world this year!

I started with an M for maggie my nana!

Then i thought of my favourite celebrity MC Hammer and this is my new necklace but i dont like this picture it make my boobs look weird! Also Caitlin Smare is in bed behind me like a hoe!

I kept the belt..my aim now is to collect random letters to spell out rude words. i could use four letters to spell twat or alot of letters to spell the wicked witch of the north west!

Wednesday was a horrible the day my beloved converse have finally bitten the dust. Walking through the library i bent down to a low shelf and heard a tincy rip, i knew it was the end, they where basically dead already. I bought them in the summer of year nine(when i was thirteen, i am now nineteen, so count). Over the years i have added silly emo studs, wham lyrics, Flowers, mud and had merry christmas scribbled on the tongue. They also survived paintballing, plus Tom Guy scribbled a little heart on the toe which i love!

Alas now they are beyond repair, i have stiched, saftey pinned and masking taped but nothing has worked. I am going to keep them in a box, like a shrine or a egyptian tomb until someone out there, really clever, can work out how to fix them and repair really really worn in things!

Now i have the dilemma of buying new shoes, which really freaks me out, because i dont want to and i feel very guilty for my converse!
